As we’re out often, we usually know where to spot the wildlife as well.

About This Tour

Lake Dillon Boat Rides intends to provide more than just a boat ride service. The splendors around Lake Dillon warrant professional storytelling. Your tour captain will provide some education and anecdotes about Summit County – its history and present day – as well as interesting facts and figures about the lake itself, the dam, the towns, local businesses, and the flora and fauna of the high country around and in the lake. 

Our luxury powerboat is a Four Winns.  This boat provides a higher level of comfort for your time on the water.  Our boat features open bow seating that puts you well above the waves, a wrap-around windshield and a full Bimini top to keep you sheltered from the sun and wind.  

Tours always begin and end at the Frisco Bay Marina transient dock, a/k/a T-Dock. The tour will depart once all of your party is on-board, and will end at the scheduled end-time.  Tours may be extended if there is not another tour booked after yours.

Private Charter | 2 – 4 Hours

This private luxury deck boat charter departs from Frisco Bay Marina.  It is ideal for family gatherings, corporate entertainment, wedding celebrations, sunset cruises, and stargazing. Each charter includes a professional captain and tour guide who will tailor the experience to your group.  This tour can accommodate 10-14 passengers depending on ages.

Additional Information

  • Charters departs from and returns to Frisco Bay Marina.
  • The operator is fully licensed, permitted, and insured
  • Fares include all mandatory fees.
  • Waivers are required.

Policies

  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult
  • Operator recommends no more than 10 adults for maximum comfort (can accommodate up to 12 guests)

Cancellation Policy

  • A full refund will be provided for cancellations more than 14 days in advance.
  • A 50% refund will be provided for cancellations less than 14 days and up to 48 hours in advance.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance. Please consider purchasing Travel Protection if you are concerned that you may need to cancel for any reason.
  • If weather conditions (severe wind, lightning, or persistent heavy rains) prevent the tour, it will be rescheduled if possible. Otherwise, a full refund will be provided.

About Lake Dillon Boat Rentals

Toby Hamer and Nick Boin own and operate Lake Dillon Boat Rentals.  Toby has been sailing and power boating since he was ten-years-old. He has experience on countless lakes and seaways across North America.  Toby is a US SAILING certified instructor.  He loves sharing his passion while volunteering for Community Sailing of Colorado teaching adult sailing clinics. Being in the mountains with his family and teaching his daughters to ski is his favorite wintertime hobby.

Captain Nick practically grew up on Lake Michigan.  He has been running boat charters as a professional captain for the past four years in Hawaii and the Caribbean. He served as crew for five years prior, and has a US Coast Guard 50 ton Near Coastal Masters License. Nick is passionate about ecology and all things outdoors including sailing, skiing, and SCUBA diving.
