As you approach Frisco, Colorado and pull off the exit at I70, you see Peak 1, the start of the Rocky Mountain’s Ten Mile Range.  At the end of the range is  Quandary, one of Colorado’s famous 14ers.  In between, are Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, spanning from North to South soaring over the Town of Breckenridge.  These five peaks are the winter winter playground for skiers and snowboarders.  With more than 187 trails for skiing and riding, Breck’s Five Peaks each offer their own style and unique qualities to create endless winter opportunities.

The Peaks at Breckenridge Ski Resort

Terrain Breakdown by Peak

Peak 9 – Beginner & Family Terrain

Peak 9 is the heart of beginner skiing in Breckenridge. Wide, forgiving runs and dedicated learning zones make it ideal for first-time skiers and families. Ski schools and children’s programs are concentrated here, creating a welcoming environment for new skiers.

Peak 8 – The Core of the Resort

Peak 8 is the main base area and features access to multiple lifts, terrain parks, and a mix of runs for all abilities. It’s also home to the BreckConnect Gondola, which connects downtown Breckenridge directly to the slopes.

Peak 7 – Intermediate Groomers

Peak 7 offers some of the best intermediate terrain in Colorado, with long, rolling groomers and fewer crowds than Peaks 8 and 9.

Peak 6 – High-Alpine Bowls

Above tree line, Peak 6 delivers wide-open bowl skiing with incredible panoramic views. This area is ideal for advanced skiers looking for powder and expansive terrain.

Peak 10 – Expert Terrain

Peak 10 is known for steep runs and challenging terrain. Advanced skiers will find technical descents and fewer crowds in this area.
