Please dress warmly. It get very cold underground. After the tour, you will be panning for gold. So bring waterproof boots or you can rent a pair from us for $3.50 extra.

About Country Boy Mine
Country Boy Mine dates back to 1887 and stands as one of the oldest and most well-known mines in Summit County, Colorado. In 1991, brothers Doug and David Tomlinson, along with their families, set out to restore the collapsed mine and surrounding site, turning it into a living piece of history.
The mine sits in the historic French Gulch area, where a miner known as French Pete discovered gold in 1860. This valley proved incredibly rich in minerals with gold, silver, lead, and zinc, and it played a key role in Breckenridge’s gold rush era.
Mining has long shaped Colorado and the nation as a whole. As many historic mines across the state continue to deteriorate or disappear, Country Boy Mine preserves and shares this important legacy.
