Night Hike with Smores and Stars
Let’s take a hike in the dark! Each night brings a new experience. The moon is changing. The clouds are changing. Sometimes the night is lit up. Sometimes it’s pitch black. Let our guides lead you in the dark and build up our night vision, tell stories, share the night sky, and end the night with s’mores over a camp stove! As we walk along we will tell stories, learn about the basic constellations, any current night sky phenomena, use our night vision, and to top it off…..enjoy s’mores over a camp stove and a yummy hot cocoa or apple cider at the end!
Transportation is provided for up to 4 people. For groups larger than 4, your group will need to carpool and follow us into RMNP in your own vehicle. Please ensure you have at least a half tank of gas. This hike is for those who are active and comfortable at altitude and not experiencing any altitude sickness such as headaches or lethargy. You must be comfortable hiking in various terrains, such as in dry, wet, and/or or snowy trail conditions and are injury free.

Night Hike 1.0
This is considered a short “night hike”. This hike will be approximately 3-hours round-trip, (*Trip length includes check-in, driving to/from trailhead, breaks, games/activities, group speed and skill level, weather conditions, night-hike and s’mores at end). We will hike approximately 1.25 – 2.25 miles round trip.

This is considered a “night hike”. This hike will be approximately 5-hours round-trip, (*Trip length includes check-in, driving to/from trailhead, breaks, games/activities, group speed and skill level, weather conditions, night-hike and s’mores at end). We will hike approximately 2.5 – 4.5 miles round trip.

Cancellation Policy
Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Tours run rain, shine, snow, or sleet. If weather concerns arise, call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a reschedule or gift card.

In 19 years, Cheryl has explored the mountain tops and mountain lakes that graph the land here and brings a well-diverse background to cater the needs for your group.
Originally from Crystal Lake, IL, Cheryl grew up playing every sport she could. From baseball, soccer, basketball, and even tennis, Cheryl went on to play Division I soccer as a goalkeeper at Illinois State University and studied Recreation & Parks Administration. She completed her final internship at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO ,where she fell in love with the mountains. All of her experiences; teaching Outdoor Education, coaching, servicing as a Recreation Supervisor, cumulated into what is now her own guiding business.
