High Country Tours

The Kremmling Cretaceous Ammonite Locality has the worlds highest concentration of such fossils. We recommend a 4 or 5 hour ride to see the fossils. Locals insight, this area has a warm and dry micro-climate, meaning when it is cold and rainy in the surrounding areas like Breckenridge, it very likely to be warm and sunny here.
High Country Tours offers Guided ATV Tours too.
About This Tour
You will meet us at the outpost located 50 minutes from downtown Steamboat Springs and ride your ATV or Side-by-Side from the outpost. The free Avenza GPS app on your phone is an excellent way to navigate the trail system. Minimum age to drive on an unguided ATV rental is 26 with a valid drivers license.
First Time Riders | Most of our guests are riding ATVs and Side by Sides for the first time. We give everyone instruction on how to operate the ATVs and Side by Sides. We encourage everyone to ask questions until they feel comfortable. Our ATVs and Side by Sides have automatic transmissions and power steering. Power steering makes steering much easier. First time riders should take it easy. Going slow when cornering is very important until your ability improves.
Departure: On the hour from 9am – 2pm daily.
Check In: Please Arrive 30-45 Minutes Prior to Departure at the outpost | 1421 Park Avenue Kremmling, CO US 80459
