Located just minutes from downtown, is Fish Creek Falls, one of Steamboat’s most iconic hikes is.  It offers a beautiful waterfall hike surrounded by forests and rocky canyon scenery. Visitors can choose between short scenic walks, moderate hiking trails, more advanced upper falls routes.

Mountain Biking in Steamboat Springs

Steamboat has become one of Colorado’s premier mountain biking destinations. Steamboat’s combination of scenic terrain and excellent trail maintenance has helped it become a major summer mountain biking destination.

The Steamboat Bike Park

Located at the Steamboat Ski Resort, this bike park features lift-served trails for downhill biking, Cross-country singletrack and beginner trails as well as technical alpine terrain. day lift tickets and season passes are available to access the gondolas and trails.

UPHILL BIKE POLICY

Pedal up the mountain this summer to get unlimited access to the Steamboat Bike Park and on mountain trails. The cost is free, but users must sign an uphill access waiver, which are available at the ticket office. Visitors can ride beginner flow trails, intermediate downhill routes and technical descents and freestyle terrain.

E-bikes are allowed in the Steamboat Bike Park and lifts. They are not allowed on multiuse forest system trails. E-bikes are too heavy for external gondola racks, but may fit inside cabins if under 57″ long and 49″ wide. Wild Blue typically can fit all sizes of e-bikes inside. Any bike that does not fit will not be loaded.

Cross-Country Riding

Outside the resort, riders can explore extensive trail systems throughout the Yampa Valley and surrounding mountains. Riding areas include Emerald Mountain, Rabbit Ears Pass, Buffalo Pass and Routt National Forest.
