You can choose from a one hour or two hour guided experience that navigates the historic Silver City Trail into the backcountry of Colorado just 35 minutes from Winter Park, Colorado. With our top-of-the-line ATVs/UTVs and safety gear, you can feel confident, and focus on the stunning views and exciting terrain you will encounter on your ride!

About this Tour

Our ATVs/UTVs are all open, four wheelers so you can feel present in nature. They are all equipped with a rear seat, making them capable of being ridden by just one person, or as a double with a passenger behind. All drivers must be at least 16, and passengers must meet the minimum height requirement of 56 inches.

Get ready to embark on an adrenaline-pumping journey through breathtaking landscapes, rugged trails, and off-the-beaten-path destinations. Our tour will ascend a historic mining road making a steep climb out of the canyon, offering an exhilarating off-road experience and views only reached by few.

We navigate our way on historic mining trails in Dumont near Denver through the scenic Rocky Mountains, enjoying breathtaking vistas of the Continental Divide and Mount Evans. Experience the serenity of the untamed mountains coupled with the exhilaration of an ATV. Visit historic mining sites and the remnants of Silver Creek, a mining town dating back to 1857. We stop along the way to capture the awesome views, so be sure to bring a camera.

All tours go rain or shine. Starting times vary with the season.

ATV TOURS

We require a minimum of two ATV rentals.  All tours begin with safety and operational instruction on your ATV. Then we practice in our parking lot and base area until you’re familiar with your machine. All of our rides include a professional guide, ATV, and helmet. While our tours are not for the faint of heart, we feel with the right attitude and adventurous spirit, anyone can participate in our rides!

UTV TOURS

Our 2024 Can-Am Defenders offer the perfect blend of power, protection, and exploration.  These incredible vehicles are built for comfort and style. They are perfect for families with children too small to ride as an ATV passenger or group that want to share in the experience together.  With features that feel more like driving a car, these vehicles allow you to fully immerse yourself in the excitement of off-roading, with the comfort and ease of a familiar driving experience.

Each UTV rental is reserved for a flat rate which includes the driver and three passengers. Up to two additional passengers (Ages 4-11) can be added during the booking process. We have two UTVs available per times slot.

• Open-face DOT approved helmets are provided.
• Must be 16 or older with a valid drivers’ license to operate the ATV’s
• Must be 21 or older with a valid drivers’ license to operate the UTV’s
• We require an adult at least 21 years of age sign the rental agreement.
• The minimum height to ride the ATV’s as a passenger is 56″
• The maximum weight limit on the ATV is 425lbs.

What to Bring

• Valid driver’s license
• Water bottles
• Closed toed footwear.
• Eye protection such as sunglasses are required.
• A bandana or buff
• Light jacket and gloves

If you are unable to make your scheduled tour time we will make every effort to accommodate you at a later time. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds due to missed reservations.
