Band on the Bricks

From rock to reggae and everything in between, Bands on the Bricks is Boulder County’s premier outdoor summer concert series taking place in the heart of the city on the bricks of the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall. A not-to-be-missed summer tradition, our 2026 season includes 8 weeks of free concerts. Enjoy performances from the best local musicians along the front range while dancing under the stars.

The beer garden opens at 5:30 pm with the opening band starting at 6:00 pm.  The headlining band plays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Happy Hour goes from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM and features $2 off any beverage of choice.

The Velvet Daydream

Opening Act: School of Rock Boulder

Velvet Daydream, hailing from Denver, is striving to weave the rock n roll they grew up on into a psychedelic thunderstorm of modern emotion. Every Velvet Daydream show is its own unique experience. The band will twist in directions you wouldn’t expect, based off the energy they feel hitting the stage. Featuring Kaeden Keys and Ryder King on guitars and vocals, Jude Pfanstiel on bass and vocals, and Nick Schwartz on drums and vocals, Velvet Daydream boasts a lineup where every member shines as a lead.

Velvet Daydream isn’t just about nostalgia; they’re about setting the stage for a new era of rock. Their relentless drive and collective talent make them a compelling force in today’s music scene, ensuring that their music reaches listeners far and wide.

This year’s series also joins a statewide celebration as part of Colorado’s America 250 – Colorado 150 initiative through the Colorado Passport Program’s Live Music Pass, presented by the Colorado Tourism Office. Attendees who check in at the Downtown Boulder Visitor Information Center during event hours can redeem one free canned cocktail, glass of wine, or non-alcoholic beverage (restrictions apply).
