Into the Clouds | Tundra Tours

Terra TomaInto the Clouds

Lets take a hike into the clouds and int the tundra – above tree line.  Starting at 7,500′ of elevation in Estes Park, we will drive into Rocky Mountain National Park almost 4,000′ in elevation (20 miles) to up above 11,400′ in elevation.  We will hike in the tundra where no trees grow – because it’s so high up!  We will hike the Ute Trail off of the world’s highest paved, continuous road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road (one of America’s scenic byways).  On this hike, you will be what we call around here, “on top of the world!”

This is considered a “1/2 day” hike. This hike will be approximately 5 hours round-trip, (time estimate includes check-in, driving to/from trailhead, breaks, and approximately 3.5 hours of actual hiking).  We will hike approximately 4 miles round trip.
