Tour details
This Rocky Mountain National Park driving tour is a four hour driving tour with stops for short walks. It begins traveling up the famous Old Fall River Road, which is the original high alpine road that opened in 1920. This road is on the National Register of Historic Places. We will take a short break at the Alpine Visitor Center, which is the highest altitude visitor center of any national park. Spend time enjoying the amazing “top of the world” tundra views and visit the cafeteria and giant gift shop.
Turning back towards Estes Park you will start to climb again, journeying across Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in North America. We will reach the highest point on the road at 12,183’. You will get spectacular views from inside our panoramic Sprinter vans. Above the tree line you will be glad the glass roof is fully close-able to protect you from the whatever mother nature brings us at these high altitudes.
