Ice Fishing Tours Guided Hike
Estes Park Tour Guides™ invites you to experience when the alpine lakes freeze and winter settles over Estes Park. Our team transforms your fishing adventure into a full-service Colorado ice fishing experience. We trade fly rods for ice augers and set you up on a frozen mountain lake surrounded by snow-covered peaks, giving families, beginners, and outdoor enthusiasts a quiet, crowd-free way to enjoy Rocky Mountain National Park in winter. Our licensed guides handle everything—equipment, safety, instruction, and setup—so you can simply step onto the ice, relax, and learn how winter trout behave beneath the surface. You’ll stay warm with freshly brewed coffee or cocoa, extra layers if needed, and a comfortable on-ice setup designed for all ages.
Your trip includes all fishing gear, safety equipment, tips on winter techniques, family-friendly coaching, and optional photography. We’ll provide guidance on what to wear, how to layer for high-elevation cold, and what to expect from Colorado’s winter conditions.
The only thing not included is your fishing license, which is required for all adults and can be purchased online here through Colorado Parks & Wildlife. Whether you’re seeking a beginner-friendly winter activity, a family adventure, or a unique experience during your stay in Estes Park, this tour offers one of the most relaxing and immersive ways to enjoy winter in the Rockies.
To keep you warm, we brew hot coffee and cocoa on-site while you fish.
You can purchase your fishing license online here – Colorado Parks & Wildlife
