Purple Points Tour Company logoThe Full Ride: Experience All of Rocky Mountain National Park

Experience Rocky Mountain National Park above tree line on this full day excursion.  Travel over two miles above sea level and across the Continental Divide. View the awe-inspiring beauty that is Rocky Mountain National Park. Our knowledgeable guide will give you an in depth tour telling you all about the science and history of the park and the wildlife.

Tour details

This all day tour begins traveling up the famous Old Fall River Road, which is the original high alpine road that opened in 1920.  This road is on the National Register of Historic Places. We will take a short break at the Alpine Visitor Center, which is the highest altitude visitor center of any national park.  Spend time enjoying the amazing “top of the world” tundra views and visit the cafeteria and giant gift shop. Upon leaving the Alpine Visitor Center you will travel towards the continental divide, getting pictures at the Milner Pass.   Our journey continues all the way to the western gates of RMNP.

Turning back towards Estes Park you will start to climb again, journeying across Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in North America.  We will reach the highest point on the road at 12,183’. You will get spectacular views from inside our panoramic Sprinter vans.  Above the tree line you will be glad the glass roof is fully close-able to protect you from the whatever mother nature brings us at these high altitudes.

A complimentary snack and hot and cold non-alcoholic beverage bar is on board to keep you comfy.  You are always welcome to bring you own food/meals to enjoy while on tour.

This tour is largely vehicle/driving based offering incredible views from inside our one of a kind vehicles.  There will be short stops approximately every hour for photos and restrooms.

This tour is offered from July 4th weekend until the first weekend in October(openings and weather permitting),
