Estes AnglerEvening Hatch Guided Fly Fishing Trip

guided trout fishingWhat is an evening hatch?  An evening hatch fly fishing trip in Colorado is a guided, late-afternoon to sunset excursion (often 6 pm – 8:30 pm) focused on the “magic hour” when trout feed aggressively on insects emerging or falling to the water. These trips, which often use dry flies or emergers, provide some of the best, most active fishing of the day.

Estes Angler specializes in guided Estes Park fishing trip packages and family fishing trips for anglers of all ages and skill levels. Our guided fishing trips teach the finer points of fly fishing and spin fishing in ways that are fun, informative and family friendly. We offer four, six and eight-hour guided Estes Park fishing trips with no more than three anglers per guide to ensure individualized attention and instruction.

Check in with us for the latest Estes Park fishing report, updates on fishing regulations and information on obtaining a Colorado fishing license.

Fishing trip dates and departure times vary during the fishing season, which runs from late March through November.
