Vail, Colorado

Unique Village. Exceptional Skiing.

Welcome to Vail, Colorado!

One of the most popular ski towns in the world, Vail still maintains it’s small town charm. Unlike Aspen or Telluride, which were mining towns from the 1880’s, Vail was a modern creation of the 1960’s when the Vail Ski Resort was established. Vail offers a variety of activities including skiing, shopping, mountain events and lots of family-friendly fun! Vail Village is very accommodating to guests with free transportation throughout the entire town.  The town is obviously very well known for its skiing, but it also has year round activities and festivals to make this a destination for everyone.

Why Stay in Vail?

Vail Village is cobblestone streets, heated in the winter, and lined with intriguing galleries, chic boutiques and celebrated fine dining. Staying in this European-inspired, pedestrian village offers easy access to Gondola One, nightly entertainment and a dream mountain lifestyle.

There are numerous lodging choices in Vail Village.  A casual stroll along the banks of Gore Creek or a quick in-town bus ride west of Vail Village is the equally elegant and charismatic Lionshead Village, a Vail Mountain resort base area. Here you will find the Austrian-inspired Arrabelle at Vail Square which provides easy access to the Eagle Bahn Gondola, a wide array of retail shopping and dining, open-air ice-skating, and entertainment for all ages.

Planning a summer trip?  Vail offers waterfall hikes, bicycling through the friendly streets of Vail, and is home to the annual, week long Go Pro Mountain Games festival in June.  The options are endless in this town of adventure! Wanting more of a relaxed vacation? There are many luxurious hotels to relax in, cozy restaurants to enjoy a bite to eat, and shops to walk through!
