Obtaining a Marriage License in Pitkin County

Here are some things to know about obtaining your marriage license in order to get married in Snowmass (Pitkin County).

1. The application fee for a marriage license is $30.
2. This Marriage License Checklist will help you get started.
3. Contact the Clerk & Recorder.  You can call 970.429.2707 or online through the Pitkin County website.
4. Fill out the information on the Marriage & Civil Union License Kiosk. You must receive your marriage license within 30 days of your planned ceremony date.
5. Schedule an appointment at the Clerk & Records office. Be sure to bring all required documents to your appointment.
6. Sign and return your issued marriage license to the Clerk & Recorder’s office for recording within 60 days of your ceremony.
